REST
It is vital for our overall well-being to get proper rest. On a regular basis we need to recover physically and mentally from our daily activities. Proper sleep is essential to our overall health.
During a night of sleep, we experience cycles of different brain wave patterns. Proper sleep is required for healing and good health, especially Rapid Eye Movement (REM). It is during this time we usually dream and if we don't experience a sufficient amount of REM sleep, our brain will rebound to compensate and make up for lost REM cycles.
It is best to form good evening habits i.e. reducing screen time, to maintain regular healthy sleep patterns. In addition, to reducing the use of devices, an overall reduction of all stimuli to the senses will help us cultivate better and deeper sleep.
